SPRING CONCERT

Spring concert is this month.  Wow, how fast the year went by!!  We are putting together the fine tunings now.  Please note these Concert details:  CONCERT IS AT THE UTAH CULTURAL CELEBRATION CENTER, LOCATED AT 1355 West 3100 South West Valley City, @ 7:30pm.  DRESS REHEARSAL WILL BE ON JUNE 15TH.  A CONCERT RUN THROUGH AND SHOW WILL BE ON JUNE 16TH.  Details will follow soon.. All costumes will be coming home this week; a few stragglers will be given out at pictures.  Costumes will not be handed out if your account has a balance due other than tickets.  

CONCERT TICKETS

As mentioned in last month’s newsletter it's time to start selling Concert tickets.  Every dancer will be required to pay a “concert fee” for the Spring Concert in June.  An individual will have a fee of $36, which will include 6 tickets.  A family will have a fee of $42, which will include 7 tickets. Additional tickets may be purchased prior to the event for $6 in advance and $8 at the door. (This fee amount is different from last year).  This helps us pay for our nice facility.  This fee will run with AUTO pay on June 5^th, if you are on a cash account please submit your fee by the 1^st.  COMPANY you basic fee has been figured into your Company payment plan.  If you need additional tickets please order them by the 5^th.We will be having a competition again this year to see who can sell the most.  So start spreading the word.  Tickets will be handed out with your FINAL concert info. Seating is general admission.  The doors will not open until 1/2hr before the show.  The front rows to the amphitheater are seats with backs.  The rest of the seating is on the grass hill behind this, please supply your own blanket or lawn chair. You will not be allowed to reserve seats prior to the door opening.  Please be courteous to those around you.

TECH/ SPACING RUN THROUGH

Our tech/spacing rehearsal will be Tuesday June 15th.  Everyone must be there, so clear your schedule. Company Girls plan on being there for the majority of the day. We will only be running routines.  Details on what to wear will be in your CONCERT DETAILS HANDOUT. To avoid some of the heat we will be holding the rehearsal from 4-9pm. (approx. coming home on your picture details note)Please remember that these things take time.  If you are in multiple routines, plan on bringing something to do along with something for a snack.  We will have the times set aside by class to help things run smoothly.  On Wednesday June 16th we will do a run through of the show before call time (everyone except preschoolers). This will help us to not have such a late Tuesday night.  You will be excused prior to your call time to get ready.  You need to plan on packing everything and staying there.

CONCERT PICTURES/DVD

Order forms for pictures will be coming home this week along with a packing list and hair and make-up details.  This needs to come with you FILLED OUT BEFORE you get here.  DVD orders forms will be coming home with FINAL concert details.  They will be taken the day of the Concert. No orders will be taken without order forms and payment at time of purchase.  All orders must be placed that day.

·         In order for us to put the finale together we are going to need to get in a larger space.  We are lucky to have the opportunity to use UXC..

·         All Troupe Dancers (that do not tumble at UXC) will need to fill out a liability waiver to participate in this rehearsal.  This waiver will be attached in an email and will need to return it to Tifni by June 3^rd.

CONCERT HELPERS

Each year I call on a few moms and dads to help us pull off a wonderful concert.   If you are not available please let me know as soon as possible so I can ask someone else.  I will be contacting those needed by email this year!

PARADE

I have had a few of you ask!!  We have decided to NOT participate in this year’s Murray 4^th of July Fun Days Parade.  I hope you all understand that the summer is a great time for family fun and this year we will be out of town. 

BOOTCAMPS AND XTREME SUMMER DANCE CHALLENGE

There is soooo much going on at the studio this summer!!  If you are looking to fill up your summer days with some fun dance activities.. THE TIME TO ENROLL IS NOW!!  All dancers interested in attending need to REGISTER ONLINE BY JUNE 1ST. It is going to be a blast. Don't miss out on the fun!!  Info is posted online under announcements!   Hope to see you there!!Camps are open to those starting at 3yrs old.

SUMMER INTENSIVE

Last week information for SI and placements was sent home.  Please read the handout carefully. This year you will need to register for SI online at www.studio56dance.com..  Just log into your account and build your schedule.  Tuition will be due at time of registration.  If you are not going to be attending this week you need to fill out a drop form in the waiting room.  If you plan on going for COMPANY you need to be there..SI is a great time to pick up some extra classes and brush up on your technique. PLACEMENTS

This year’s placements will be July 16-17th at the end of SI week.  Make sure to check up on the fun!!  We have invited the dancers to specific prep and audition times which are noted on the SI handout that came home last week.  If you have lost this please contact the studio to clarify your time.As always we are excited for the upcoming year.  We have a number of fun things planned and can't wait to get going. 

REFERRAL PROGRAM

Do you have a friend that wants to take dance?  Grab a referral card from the waiting room. We are always excited to see new faces and make new friends.  Summer BOOTCAMPS are also open to friends with NO registration fee!!

BACKYARD

I know the weather hasn’t been the greatest, but we all know it is coming!!  I will be so nice to not be in that stuffy waiting room.  Do to liability reasons I need you to please keep your student and their siblings out of the back yard.  Thanks for your help...Just a reminder; parent observation day is the first week of the month.  Please help us with this!!

BANANA SPLIT PARTY

If your splits are flat and you have a scoop on the banana split board YOU’RE INVITED!!  This month is our banana split party.  Mark your calendars for June 14th at the studio, details on the time will be announced on the concert details handout.
