SPRING CONCERT
Spring Concert is this month. Wow, how fast the year went by!! We are putting together the fine tunings now. This newsletter has TONS of important information in it. Please read carefully!
LOOKING FOR A COUPLE ITEMS
We are seeking a couple items for the show! If you have one that we can borrow please contact Amy ASAP, we need a couple by pictures!
· Bubble blower (large amounts of bubbles)
· Plastic small round kid pool
· Wood bench (fit 8 dancers)
CONCERT LOCATON CHANGE
We are moving to.. Eastmont Middle School 10100 S 1300 E June 18-19th (days have stayed the same)
CONCERT COSTUMES
Costumes were handed out last week. Costumes were not been handed out if your account has a balance due. Some costumes have minimal adjustments that need to be made such as straps. Please have all of these things taken care of before picture day. Please DO NOT let your child wear the costume or concert shirt until pictures and the big day!!!
This year’s bundle did not include tights or shoes. PLEASE make sure you have the right color!! If you didn’t take advantage of the online savings you can purchase them at Onstage Dancewear in Taylorsville.
COMPANY CONCERT COSTUME
Company dancers! For your Company routine you will need your costume from 1st of the year pictures. We will not be doing a group pic in this, so please have it ready for dress rehearsal!
CONCERT FEE
Your 6 tickets per individual or 7 per family have been included in your concert bundle. Seating is general admission. The doors will open 1/2hr before the show. You will not be allowed to reserve seats prior to the door opening. Please be courteous to those around you.
Additional concert tickets will be sold on a first come first serve at pictures June 2nd.
JUNE PRACTICE SCHEDULE
Changes are noted on the calendar. In hopes to be more prepared for Concert we are going to be combining and rearranging several classes to accommodate for finale and combined pieces. PLEASE PAY CLOSE ATTENTION!
· REMINDER If you have a dancer/tumbler that is enrolled in AM or AFTN preschool classes we are going to condense the amount of time you are at the studio in June. I know that you are all trying to fit in a lot of summer FUN, let us help by having all of your dance fun in one day! If you have questions please don’t hesitate to call.
o Schedule will be condensed to ONE day for both genre’s

o 9:15-10am 4-5yr old Dance (same time as usual)
o 10-10:45am 4-5yr old Tumbling (was the Monday class)
§ Wednesday’s PM classes
o 2:15-3pm 4-5yr old Tumbling (was the Monday class)
o 3-3:45pm 4-5yr old Dance (same time as usual)
§ Thursday’s
o 9:15-10am 3-4yr old Tumbling (same time as usual)
o 10-10:45am 3-4yr old Dance (this was the Tuesday class)

TECH/ SPACING RUN THROUGH
Our tech/spacing rehearsal will be Monday June 18th. Everyone must be there, so clear your schedule. We will only be running routines. Details on what to wear will be in your CONCERT DETAILS HANDOUT. We will have a schedule laid out by teams that day. The block will be from 1:30-9pm. Your dancer WILL NOT be there the whole time. A note will follow with specific details.
Please remember that these things take time. If you are in multiple routines, plan on bringing something to do along with something for a snack. We will have the times set aside by class to help things run smoothly.
On Tuesday June 19th we will do a run through of the show before call time (everyone except preschoolers). This will help us to not have such a late Monday night. You will be excused prior to your call time to get ready. You need to plan on packing everything and staying there.
CONCERT PICTURES/DVD
We will be having class pictures June 2nd times noted in picture details handout/email. Please pay close attention to the times. Upon arrival look for your "class mom" she will have a voulunteer badge on. This is who you will meet and turn in your order form to.
Pictures are JUNE 2nd @ Studio 56, Times, check your picture note for details
· Please fill out your order form before you come and attaché the payment either in an envelope or stapled
· No orders will be taken without order forms and payment at time of purchase. All picture orders must be placed the day of pictures.
DVD’s of this years show have been included in your concert bundle. Following concert you will be receiving your concert dvd in the mail.. We will NOT be held accountable for addresses that are NOT up to date. To update info PLEASE: Email us, call us or log onto your account and update!
CONCERT BOOTH or ADVERTISMENT
If you are interested in having a booth or putting an ad in the program at this year’s Concert please turn form from the concert handbook by June 1st. CONCERT HELPERS
Each year I call on a few moms and dads to help us pull off a wonderful concert. If you are not available please let me know as soon as possible so I can ask someone else. I will be contacting those needed by email this year!
CONCERT GOOD LUCKS
I need help assembling concert good lucks and dress rehearsal snacks. If you are available we will be doing this June 3rd 9-10am in the studio. The more hands the quicker we are done! Please let me know if you can help!
BANANA SPLIT PARTY
Just want all of you to know that we are working towards our annual Banana Split party. This party is for everyone that has their splits flat (KND AND UP). We will be passing off splits this week and having the party June 11th from 4:30-5pm @ Studio 56.
PARENTS NIGHT OUT
We will be offering PNO all summer long!!! Mark your calendars for your DATE NIGHT and we will take the kids…Friday June 15th from 6-9pm. We have lots of fun activities planned for the kids and you can enjoy a night out child free! Only $15 per child ($20 for NON-studio members), ages 3 and up (must be potty trained). We will be serving Pizza @ 6:30pm. You can sign up right on the website by logging into your account and picking the PNO schedule!
CONCERT KICK OFF PARTY!
Mark your calendars to join us June 16th (location TBA) @ 8pm for a Concert kick off party! We are going to be doing an outdoor movie night. Bring your blankets and pillows and wear your concert t-shirt. We will be watching the movie Cat in the Hat and gearing up for a GREAT concert event! We will also be selling popcorn and snowcones with the chance to when $$ towards summer camps! Don’t miss out on the fun!!
FREE STYLE ALL MONTH
Company and Troupe we are having FREE STYLE ALL MONTH!! Please do NOT wear your class outfits, make sure they are washed and in good shape for the show!
PARADE
I have had a few of you ask!! We have decided to participate in this year’s Murray 4th of July Fun Days Parade. I hope ALL of you will join us! NO practices just come ride along, wave and have fun! Wear your Concert T-shirt from Concert and ride on our float!
XTREME SUMMER DANCE CHALLENGE AND DANCE CAMPS
We are now enrolling for ALL of our Summer Camps!! Customize your Summer Camps to fit your needs! We have a great 5 week course, a week camp for both preschoolers and grade-schoolers. COMPANY AUDITIONS
This year auditions for our Company teams will be June 27th and 29th. Make sure to check up on the fun!! We will have specific times by age for our audition prep and auditions.
As always we are excited for the upcoming year. We have a number of fun things planned and can't wait to get going.
REFERRAL PROGRAM
Do you have a friend that wants to take dance? Grab a referral card from the waiting room. We are always excited to see new faces and make new friends. Summer CAMPS are also open to friends with NO registration fee!!
BACKYARD
I know the weather has been starting to improve!! It will be so nice to not be in that stuffy waiting room. Due to liability reasons I need you to please keep your student and their siblings out of the back yard. Thanks for your help...Just a reminder; parent observation day is the first week of the month. Please help us with this!!
GOOD LUCK DEVON
As many of you know our very own Hip Hop teacher DeVon is off to California for SYTYCD…We want to wish him the BEST of luck on this adventure! We will be posting updates on our facebook page; we hope he goes ALL THE WAY!! Due to his absence we have made some adjustments to the Boys Club Schedule. Please see the calendar for details.
