SPRING DANCE CONCERT

Don't forget to mark your calendar for the Spring Concert June 15th dress/tech rehearsal and on June 16th Concert Night.  We have reserved The Utah Cultural Celebration Center in West Valley.  We will be holding this year’s Concert outside at the Amphitheater. 

We have started on costumes.  Some of these costumes may need to be slightly altered.  Please work with us, we are searching for the best deals.

An order form will be coming home the first week in April.  It needs to be filled out and sent back with your daughter the week of April 12th.  This form includes a break down for your child's dances along with some additional options such as tights, a Concert t-shirt and the shirt for the dad-daughter routine.  At this time your balance will be due (we will either charge CC on file or you can send CASH) *Concert shirts are required for all Troupe, Company and tumbling members.

This form will be coming home the week of April 5th.  All forms MUST be returned, even if you don’t need any additional items..  EVERYONE that needs a shirt will need to pick their size (tryon’s available at the studio)

Every dancer will be required to pay a “concert fee” for the Spring Concert in June.  An individual will have a fee of $36, which will include 6 tickets.  A family will have a fee of $42, which will include 7 tickets. Additional tickets may be purchased prior to the event for $6 in advance and $8 at the door. (This fee amount is different from last year).  This helps us pay for our nice facility.  This fee will run with AUTO pay on June 5^th.

We will be offering class pictures and DVD sales this year. We will have more info in the May Newsletter.

We are very excited about concert, we hope you are too.

As we get closer to the date I will be assigning jobs to parents as to help our concert run smoothly. I appreciate all helping hands.  Jobs will be assigned soon!!

This year every tumbler is required to have the concert t-shirt, which we will wear over top of either your black unitard or with pair of black bikers. The shirt is included in the tumbling costume fee.  If you need to order black bikers you may do so on your order form.

All of our routines should be coming to an end of their choreography period.  We will be starting to clean them in class this month and need all the support we can get at home.  We will be posting our routines on YouTube and our website so you can have your dancer practice at home.  We will be emailing you the link to the video’s soon.  You may also send a tape to get the music to make it easier to practice at home.  THIS IS SO IMPORTANT!!  We only look as well as we practice.

It's that time of year I need to remind everyone about our underwear rule..  Dancers don't wear underwear they wear tights.  This is the hardest thing to explain to little girls.  But, I need your help NOW before concert gets here.  Let's start working on it now so we don't have panty problems at concert.  THANKS!!

Troupe dancers will have a meeting the last 15min of their classes the week of April 12^th.  At this time we will be reviewing last minute details for the competition.  We are excited for this opportunity and need everyone t be practicing at home!!

Can you believe it's time to start thinking about Summer Dance Classes?  It is going to be here before we know it. 

XTREME SUMMER DANCE CHALLENGE:  Are you ready for XCITING time with an XTRA special staff.. Mark your calendar for June 24th for a ONE day XTRAVAGANT event.  See the camp flyer posted on the website under announcements or attached to your monthly reminder email. Register online at www.xtremedanzz.com (company dancers are already registered, you DO NOT need to register on your own!)

This Dance Camp is open to everyone 3 and up at the Studio (mandatory to ALL Company).  At camp you will learn fun routines, take technique, and make new friends.  Camp tuition is $100 (7 and up) $50 for those (7 and under) everything included.

SUMMER BOOTCAMPS:  We have several amazing bootcamps setup for the summer.  Enrollment will open in May.  A more info will be posted on the website and emailed soon!!  To register go online to www.studio56dance.com.  Pick a Bootcamp and get signed up, spots are limited so make sure you get enrolled ASAP.

Camps will be offered in Hip Hop, Tumbling, Pilates and ZUMBA!!  Sign up for all 4 BOOTCAMPS and take $15OFF!!  Great time to work with some amazing artist and get fit for the summer!

SUMMER INTENSIVE: Our week long SI is coming up July 12-15^th..  This year you will be able to enroll online and build a schedule just right for you!!  We will be sending home a sheet in May with what classes would be great for your dancer!  At the end of this week we will be holding our class placements.  More details will be available on this with the release of the SI schedule.

NEW this year, we are doing the Papa John’s Pizza Fundraiser..  This is a great way to bring in some extra $ right in time for concert dues!! These cards sell like hotcakes; who doesn’t eat pizza?! The cards cost $2, you sell the cards for $5 making $3 per card.

·         Turn your order form and $2 per card in by April 22^nd (you can keep the profit of turn in the entire things towards your acct). 

·         Pick up your cards the week of April 26^th in class.

We did a great job at Medallion Classic and UDF, you should all be proud and inspired to keep up the hard work!! I am looking forward to improving as we go.

COMPANY PAYMENT PLAN

Company parents, this month an adjustment will be made to the FINAL installment in the payment plan.  Please review the following breakdown to note the amount that will be charged.  We will be sending home a Concert costume order form.. Please note that the base costume has been included in the payment plan.  However, if you need to stock up on tights, etc now is the time.. You will also need to pick your concert t-shirt size.

·         Teeny’s $116.50-$64 (comp fee credit)=$52.50

·         Mini’s $138-$64 (comp fee credit)=$74

·         Junior’s $158-$64 (comp fee credit)=$94

·         Express $158-$64 (comp fee credit)=$94

·         Elite $162.50-$64 (comp fee credit)= $98.50 *originally the $64 was going to be applied towards Hip Hop shoes.. We are going to rent a costume from the closet for the Concert ballet routine, leaving each girl with a credit..

Our next competition is right around the corner.  Xtreme Danzz info will be coming home the 1st week in April.  This competition is XTREME and XCITING!! I know it is a long day.  Please remember you are part of a TEAM and everyone needs to be at awards.
